The University of Economics in Bratislava, Slovakia, is a public research university focused on education and research in the field of Economics and Business with over 80 years of history. The Department of Economics as an integral part of the University and of the Faculty of Economics and Finance has been focused on teaching Economics courses at all three levels of university instruction and also on research in Macro, Microeconomics and Methodology of Economics, with special focus on empirical studies related to economies of Central and Eastern European Region. The academics involved in the EDSAW project have abundant experience with the implementation of research as well as teaching and development projects at national level and internationally. The Department is also active in international cooperation with universities and research institutions in the European Union, but also in other parts of the world. Academics of the Department of Economics have led and coordinated many domestic research and teaching related projects and participated in various international projects.
M&M is a trainer and mobility provider founded in 2014 whose staff has wide experience in managing and implementing training procedures and activities that give them enough skills and knowledge to develop activities related to a wide range of projects. Its mission is to analyse the training needs of organizations and individuals for transferring professional skills to support individuals in their personal and professional development and to improve their training, experience and professional profiles.
Their work focuses on the connection between business needs, organizational plans and human resources management and they constantly carry out analysis and research to develop and improve our participants' skills.
M&M has a huge network that allows them to be in contact with other organizations, foreign partners, stakeholders, labour market, consulting companies, educational institutions and universities, experts, public administration, etc. and M&M works in close cooperation with all of them, which facilitates precise knowledge of the reality and direct contact with the target group of the training and educational projects. They have developed a wide variety of teacher training during these years using innovative methodologies and tools.
Kutahya Dumlupinar University (DPU) was founded in 1992, carries on the activities with 10 faculties, 3 graduate schools, and 14 vocational schools. DPU has specific expertise in Social Sciences, Educational Sciences, Science and Technology, Engineering, Physical Education, Applied Sciences and Technical Education. Nearly thousand academics are teaching full-time. They focus on improving their organizational skills multi-dimensionally via EU Projects, supporting students with their career planning in future and integrating them in social activities to prepare them to LLP. In addition, they do research to carry on their scientific studies under the roof on Advanced Technologies Center, which is involved in the EDSAW project, contributes to a higher ranking of the university and also contributes to enhancing knowledge. DPU has been integrated with Europe in the framework of European Commission Bologna Process. Through international relations, DPU performs student and staff exchanges with European countries and other countries worldwide via bilateral agreements and programs such as Erasmus and Mevlana Exchange Programs.
EconoMind is a non-profit organization based in Bratislava, Slovakia. It strives to bring holistic approach to address most pressing problems of our societies and to improve lives of individuals with special focus on Slovakia and Central and Eastern European region. EconoMind focuses on research, education and training in behavioral sciences, digital transformation, economics, finance, and soft skill development. Their mission is to bring long-term expertise to the service of those, who need it most (including aging work force). EconoMind has also broad network of international partners for global perspective and impact and its representatives have long experience with the preparation of international project proposals and the project management. In the project they will be responsible for the development of the project website and e-learning platform as well as to contribute to other outputs of the EDSAW project.
Mendel University is one of the oldest independent specialized universities in the Czech Republic. Their research activities focus on both theoretical and applied disciplines. Research in the area of economics, informatics, and social sciences is conducted at the Faculty of Business and Economics, which is involved in the EDSAW project. The priority of the faculty is maximum support of research activities from external resources, which puts high demands on the quality of current research topics and published results. An important strategic element is institutional support for research activities of young academics, Ph.D. students, and talented students carried out within the existing program schemes of the Internal Grant Agency. They put emphasis also on the interdisciplinary nature of research; therefore, several research teams linking the various faculty departments focus were established.
Apart from research and publication activities, the Faculty of Business and Economics regularly organizes various research seminars and workshops with the participation of international researchers and experts and several international scientific conferences. Every year workshops, roundtables, and seminars on sustainability, aging population, and diversity are also being organized. Mendel University in Brno will provide expertise in the development of the new Master program in Sustainable Development and Management in the following particular fields: Population, Environment, Climate change, Adaptation and resilience in the global and regional context, Leadership of Diverse Teams, International Business Law, EU, and global governance and participate in all project activities.
